This is a great place to have old-fashioned family fun. The prices are very affordable and the movies are newly-released. I highly recommend the Park Place to anyone looking for a fun-filled experience.

I really like your website I think it's really nice. If you were going to add anything to the website I would add the screen frequency that you play your movies on so people can program their radios before they get to the Drive In

My family loves your drive-in!! We live in Rural Retreat but drive to Marion to your drive-in instead.Only suggestion is that it would be nice if you had a pamplet or something with a list of what's playing in weeks ahead or at least the following week.

I am a mother of three children, as any other family, we enjoy the movies and family time. With todays prices at theaters, it's difficult to have these memorable times. Top Notch Drive-In! You have so many entertainment options all in one place! We love the laid back atmosphere of the drive-in. It's really nice to throw a blanket on the ground and watch a movie under the stars. The quality of the picture and sound is exceptional. It's obvious that you have put a lot of hard work and effort into making your drive-in, mini-golf, batting cages, game room, and ice-cream shop a very high quality, affordable, and inviting place to visit! It's really nice to see "just released" movies at the price you offer! We don't have to take out a loan to see a movie any more! This web site is great also! My compliments to you and your staff! Keep up the good work.
Love the drive-in!! Would appreciate a smoke-free area though - folks with allergies and asthma don't want to breathe in all that secondhand smoke (and no one wants their children breathing it either). And some earlier movies would be helpful for those of us with small children who conk out by 9:30! ;)
My wife and I camp at Hungry Mother every summer, and pass by Park Place Drive In, but have never stopped in. Not this time! Well, we had a great experience camping at HMSP, despite the occasional rain, and one of the highlights was the Park Place Drive-In. We enjoyed the first night of our vacation at the drive-in with "Ratatouille" and "Pirates III", and the last night with "Halloween" and "Live Free or Die Hard" as well. We love drive-in theatres, and can honestly say Park Place is head-and shoulders above Starlite in Christiansburg. Lots of parking, great layout, ample time to visit the concession stand or ice cream shop before the show. And the Park Place staff were extremely friendly. We didn't have the opportunity to play miniature golf - my wife's reaction was "Where are the windmills?", but thought the fees were reasonable, especially in an age where people don't think twice about paying $4.95 for a cup of coffee! We did visit the ice cream shop several times, and loved the atmosphere as much as the confections. The cost of only $5.00 per person for a double feature? Unheard of these days! The only thing I'd say is missing is the addition of hot dogs and fries at the concession stand, but the popcorn is hot and fresh with lots of butter. Overall, the Park Place Drive-In has become our all-time favorite drive-in, conveniently located near our all-time favorite State Park. Can't wait to see y'all again next year! I wish you would alternate the movie times especially the kids movies in the summer...sometimes it is hard to stay through two movies that you really want to see with young kids but we would come to one one night at the early time and the other the next night at the early time..The late movie is hard for people with small children...Thanks

I love how there is a place locally where you can watch up to date movies.
To answer a previous poster's question if I may. Yes, they do host birthday parties. Look at the Theatre Pics section and you will see a picture of a display about birthday party hosting. I've set up a party there and it was GREAT! A really good deal, you don't have to prep and clean up like you would at home, your house isn't trashed, and there are a lot of great activities to keep kids occupied. I love the new mini-golf course by the way. It's the best by far short of Pigeon Forge or Myrtle Beach.
Parkplace is a great place to come and watch movies and the cheapest in the world....
My family and I vacation in the area every summer. During that time we come to the drive-in at least once during our visit. We love it! Is there any way that you could add a calendar as to what movie will be playing when? This will allow families to "plan" on not seeing a certain movies before arrival. Thanks for sharing in some great summer fun with my family!

I love the drive-in I just wished this one started a little later in night. In my opinion 845 pm is to early I would like to see the start time moved up to 900Pm or 930pm. This is due to it still being to light outside to see the screen.
You do get some good movies...I wish it was still free for kids under 12 a 7 and 5 year old will not sit and watch a movie.....I know $2.00 is not alot but our money is gone when the kids won't sit down and watch the movie....

Just heard some bad news about the Hiland drive in at Rural Retreat. Say they can't afford to switch over to digital so are closing for good. Hope it's not true, but looks like we'll be coming to Marion from now on. Looks like you have a great place with lots for everyone to do. Look forward to seeing you soon.

It would be really nice if you put on your home page that your company does not except credit cards or debit cards, especially in the ice cream shop and else where.
You could put on your web site how much it cost for the batting cages and the mini golf.

Hi, just a suggestion, if you have a kids movie, please show it first, then the adult movie second. I know a few weeks ago, you had the kids movie last. But other than that, great service and great drive-in.

Selling other types of food such as hot-dogs or pizza. The hand driers in the rest rooms do not seem to work and have not for the past several years. A preview of the up coming weeks movies. These are the only things I could suggest that I would like to see at your facility. Thank you

I LOVE Park Place, my family goes to watch the movies there at least twice a month. We also go during the week quite often for the cages, games and ice cream. The only comment, suggestion I have is that HUGE trucks and vans that intend on keeping the back door up, be required to park closer to the back. it is annoying when part of your view is blocked. Especially when the park is full, and we can't move to another spot. Other than that, I think PP is wonderful!

Hello I have been coming to the drive in for many years now so has my whole family. We really enjoy coming and having a fun family experience. I do have one negative thing to say. We believe that your employees are dressing WAY to provocative. We were there to watch Last Song the girls there whom seem really young were wearing very very short shorts and shirts that were not covering there mid drift area. If a fun family experience is what you want your customers to have i would definatly have a dress code. Not to mention we had to wait five minutes to get icecream because the girl working there was busy sitting down talking to a group of boys that was there in my opinion happens when girls are dresses that way. We really enjoy your facilities but refuse to keep attending if our children have to see people dressed in that manner. Having a gentelman owner makes it look really bad when all you have working for you is very young girls being allowed to dress that provocative in a family atmosphere.Hope this does not come across in a mean way just trying to prevent you from losing lots 10 adults& 9 children very loyal customers. I think that you should add more info as to what showings you will have in the future. Which days that you would be switching the movies playing. I must say, your FM transmitter works a LOT better than Moonlite in Abingdon. I'm assuming that you all use a bulb projector as well, with film. If you had the ability to get a digital projector with DLP, or at least a high lumen bulb, your picture would definitely improve. Still, wonderful drive-in.
We love the drive-in and other activities but wish you had your business hours posted on your site.

I grew up going to drive-ins...the bugs, the spilled pop-corn all over the car, falling asleep at mid-night on the roof of our family stationwagon and the crackling of the sound box that might or might not be broken...as a teen I remember driving my first car to a drive-in and being amazed that the sound boxes had dissappeared and replaced with an AM station. And now...My first weekend living in Marion I got to share all those experiences with my two kids at your Drive-In! We saw Toy Story 3 and the kids LOVED it and keep asking when we can do it again!!! I love drive inns but have a lot of frustration that the movies are not changed often, sometimes for weeks. Why is that? Also, why do all of the local drive inns show the same movies at the same times? Please offer More variety!!!!!!! It can be weeks before you can go watch a movie because of the redundancy. Thanks!

You need to start updating your site on upcoming movies and getting more kid friendly movies instead of all the pg-13

But there is a couple of things you need to change this is the first drive-in that my wife and i have been too that you could not buy a hot dog or a BBQ or even a hamburger and no fries either. This is a must at a drive -in and i mean inside the drive-in not outside where you have to walk a mile and you need to put a couple of port a johns or a bathroom at the verry back there is plenty of room back there. I am disabled and we bring our truck most of the time so we have to park in the back and it is a long walk for mewhen i dont walk verry well. We visit all the drive-ins around here at least ounce a year if not more we love drive -ins it,s the felling you get from being under the stars and being with the one you love. Please consider making these changes it will make a big diffrence i promise. THANK YOU LESTER CUMMINGS BLACKSBURG VA.

listen i love coming here it is really fun but there is somethings that need to be changed such as the girls there. me and my sister her husband!! and her 3 kids dont want to see a bunch of half naked girls and it makes u guys look really bad!!!
